Strength, self-awareness, respect, discipline and responsibility are common core values taught within our Kids Program. The program is structured to teach technique through functional games aimed to improve your child’s agility and flexibility in a fun, friendly, and interactive manner. There are different groups based on their age and skill level.
Our kids program is a safe and fun way to get kids active and teach them problem solving skills that will help them to achieve their goal throughout their lives. We work closely with our students and their parents to set both short term and long term goals and continually work towards achieving those goals. Our curriculum teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques, facilitates the development and refinement of your child’s motor skills, and provides exercise to increase power, speed, and flexibility. In addition to learning practical techniques, all instruction includes character development.
Each class connects the techniques learned to specific values: honesty, self-motivation, self-respect, respect for others, teamwork, discipline, healthy living, self-control, and of course how to have fun. These classes are perfect as a Anti-Bullying System.
FUNDAMENTALS GI CLASS
This class focuses on the learning and application of basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Students will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including a variety of submissions and escapes. This class will focus on proper techniques from the standing position, covering basic throws, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu takedowns including ground work.
This class is effective for the beginner as well as the advanced student looking to perfect his/her basic Jiu-Jitsu Techniques. Whether you are looking to get in shape, increase self-confidence, or learn a viable self-defense system, we are confident that we can help you reach your goals. This program is ideal for new students who wish to gain the essential set of skills necessary to begin to develop their knowledge and practice of the sport.
Judo starts from a standing position, it involves techniques that allow you to lift and throw your opponents onto their backs. On the ground, it includes techniques that allow you to pin your opponents down to the ground, control them, and apply various chokeholds or joint locks until submission.
No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is a dynamic Self-Defense System that focuses on applying the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional uniform. In No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu the goal is to gain a dominant position using joint-locks and choke holds, forcing your opponent to submit. Much of the ground game aspect of what you see in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is learned in No-Gi Training and can be applied to everyday situations. Students who have previous wrestling experience tend to find No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu to be a great extension to their wrestling background.
Our Open Mat training time is designed to allow students to work on specific trouble areas and practice newly learned techniques in a non-instructed format. The class is open to all members of any belt rank. This class allows members the opportunity to spar, drill, or analyze techniques and improve their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game.
